Fishing For Cash – Thousands In The Pot In Derby’s

This winter there are several regional ice fishing derby's and big phat cash prizes for a whopper. Check out there they are and how to participate. 

This is the real definition of freezin' for a reason. Ice derby's are all the rage from Colorado to Wyoming this January and February. Check out some of the events coming to a small hole in the ice near you.

2014 North Park Ice Fishing Contest - Lake John near Walden, CO (Jan 11th). $1000 is the grand prize with other prizes up to 5th place. 30 bucks to enter, 10 for kids under 12. North Park Chamber of Commerce for more information.

Saratoga Lake Ice Fishing Derby - Saratoga Lake, Saratoga (Jan 17th-18th) This is one of the big ones to catch big-uns. $6000 for the biggest fish and up to $35000 in cash prizes. Prizes for the largest fish caught each hour. 30 bucks to enter, 10 for kids under 12. Small fry derby for the kids. Saratoga/Platte Valley Chamber Of Commerce for more information. 

Burbot Classic - Buckboard Marina on Flaming Gorge, Rock Springs (Feb 6th-8th). You'll hear more about this on KGAB, Cowboy Country and KING FM.
