Congratulations Cheyenne, we have officially survived another "Daddy of 'em All".

Love it or hate it, CFD is a proud tradition that generates millions of dollars for the local economy. Here's a few ideas to make it better in the coming years.

1. More Parking and Shuttles - It boggles my mind why Frontier Days doesn't have more parking. If they were to add more lots and shuttles accessible from I-25, it would pay for itself and help alleviate congestion in the overcrowded neighborhood around the park.

2. Designated Smoking Areas - One complaint we hear a lot is that CFD isn't as "family friendly" as it should be. One way to make the atmosphere better for children would be to create several designated smoking areas along the midway.

In our recent poll, nearly 80% said they would be in favor of making the midway a smoke-free zone.

3. Book a Pop Act - This year's Fall Out Boy concert drew a different type of crowd to CFD. I've never seen more hair-dye and piercings on the midway. However, catering to a younger crowd also hurts beer sales. That said, booking a pop act like Katy Perry or Justin Bieber could help breath new life into the concert series.

4. Add a Motorcycle Rally during the last weekend - This week, thousands of people will drive through Cheyenne on their way to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Sturgis has become too big of an event to ignore. If CFD held an event that catered to bikers, especially on the final day, it could be a big money maker.

5. Bring the WWE on a Monday or Tuesday night - Monday and Tuesdays are the smallest crowds of the week. As much as we love Championship Bull Riding, the rodeo itself is a bigger draw. Why not invite World Wrestling Entertainment to bring their popular Raw or Smackdown television shows to Cheyenne Frontier Days? It would be huge.
