Beers lovers, rejoice. The craft beer boom has finally come to Wyoming. This week, Food and Wine Magazine published a feature on Cheyenne's emerging microbrew scene.

The article, America's Biggest Little Town Is Finally Waking Up to Craft Beer, credits a recent change in Wyoming's "archaic" liquor laws, which now allow local breweries to produce up to 50,000 barrels per year, along with the cultural influence of Colorado's burgeoning craft breweries and local upstarts at Freedom's Edge Brewery and the Cheyenne Brewing Company.

It also notes that consumer tastes are evolving, even in a traditional state like Wyoming where most beer drinkers prefer domestic lagers. It cited the recent attendance at last month's Wyoming Brewer's Festival which drew over 1,500 people, an increase of over 20% from 2014.
