Many of us will be firing up the grill and heading out to picnics this Memorial Day weekend, but it's important to take some precautions.

The Wyoming Poison Center is reminding folks to keep hot foods hot and cold foods cold.

The USDA recommends fully cooking all meats to ensure bacteria are destroyed to prevent food poisoning.

Meats should be cooked to 160 degrees and you should always use a food thermometer because you can't tell if meat is fully cooked just by looking at it.
