Music is a universal language, and now the Peace Corps is using 90's grunge rock to teach English to students in Africa.

According to a Consequence of Sound article, the idea came to Peace Corps volunteer Matt Westerberg one day when he was teaching an English class to a group of 9th grade students in Ethiopia. After class, he wrote the lyrics to Pearl Jam's 'Even Flow' on the chalkboard. The students liked it so much, they wanted to hear more.

Westerberg captured the lesson on film and the YouTube video has now gone viral.
