Have you filed your federal income taxes yet?

The April 15 deadline is next Tuesday and if you need help with your tax preparation, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance is available to qualified Laramie County residents.

Basic income tax preparation services and electronic filing is available through VITA, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, for Laramie County residents with low to moderate incomes. Suggested for families with incomes of $50,000 to $60,000 or less.

The Wyoming Free Tax Service will be available on Wednesday, April 9, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 12, between 9 and 11:30 a.m. and on Monday, April 14, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Laramie County Community College CCI building, room 144.

Taxpayers are asked to bring identification, income documentation, deductible expenses and their 2012 tax return if available.
