How do you celebrate Groundhog Day?

Most of us will watch or listen for the weather prediction from Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania.

On February 1, the Paul Smith Children's Village at the Cheyenne Botanic Gardens in Lions Park is hosting a Groundhog Day Exploration. Starting at 4 p.m., attendees will hear a story and help create a miniature puppet theatre. The cost is one dollar per child.

According to lore, if the groundhog sees his shadow we are in for six more weeks of Winter, if the groundhog does not see his shadow, we can expect an early Spring.

If you're heading east, you could be among the thousands attending the early morning festivities in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania and watch members of the Inner Circle roust the groundhog from his slumber to give us a quick forecast.

Or we could sleep in and then watch the Bill Murray 'Groundhog Day' movie over and over again.
