At Sunday night's Grammy Awards the odds of some of KING FM's favorite classic rock artists winning are very good.

Elton John worked with fellow keyboardist Leon Russell last year on The Union album and the single "If It Wasn't for Bad" is nominated for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.

The nominees in the Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance category reads like one of KING FM's set lists. Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Robert Plant and Neil Young will compete with John Mayer for the award.

Ozzy Osbourne and the Stone Temple Pilots are nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance along with Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and Them Crooked Vultures. By the way the Vultures include Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin.

The Best Rock Album could be Pearl Jam's Backspacer, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Mojo or maybe Neil Young's Le Noise. They are nominated along with Jeff Beck's latest Emotion & Commotion and The Resistance from Muse.

Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds have a chance at the Best Rock Instrumental Performance with "Kundalini Bonfire." They'll be competing with Jeff Beck, The Black Keys, Los Lobos and Dweezil Zappa.

The 53rd Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast Sunday night, February 13th, on CBS television.
