Great Lakes Aviation is helping in the battle to fight hunger with their 5th Annual “Flyin’ 4 Food” campaign to benefit the Safehouse in Cheyenne.

According to a news release, there are more than 48 million Americans (16.2 million children) experiencing the harsh reality of hunger. In fact, 14.5 percent of all households within the United States are struggling with not having enough food.

This September, Great Lakes Airlines and the Safehouse need your help to end hunger in Cheyenne. In honor of Hunger Action Month, when you bring any non-perishable food item to the Great Lakes counter throughout the month of September, you’ll be eligible for a chance to win one of four round-trip tickets between Cheyenne and Denver.

Donate as much food as you like, however, only one entry per person, per week is permitted. Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. - 6 p.m. at the Cheyenne Regional Airport, 300 E. 8th Avenue.
