Laramie County Fire District #4 will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for it's second fire station on Saturday, Oct. 15.

The event is slated for 10 a.m.at the site for the new station, which is on County Road 140 about 1/2 mile south of County Road 207. Fire District #4 serves eastern Laramie County south of Interstate 80 and the town of Carpenter.

It also provides mutual aid to parts of northern Colorado. Laramie County voters approved of the new fire station in 2012.

The total cost of the facility will be $463,990.00. Of that total $375,860 will come from the sixth-penny sales tax the voters approved and the rest of the money will come from the Fire District's Operating Budget.
