Who doesn’t love fresh salsa or a salad with homegrown tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, Brussel sprouts and squash? You can’t get much fresher than food grown in your own garden. It tastes better, is healthier, and, is easier on the budget.

But gardening in Cheyenne, Wyoming, or Zone 5, can be tough. There’s the bad soil, dry climate, extreme weather, and in my neighborhood, rabbits that think everything I grow is theirs for the taking.

Gardening in Wyoming is a challenge, but it can be done, if you learn how to do it right.

Take control of your food, your health and your finances when you learn gardening on Wednesday, May 31 with Successful Gardening In Cheyenne at the Laramie County Library, 2200 Pioneer Ave.. Master Gardener, Catherine Wissner of the University Of Wyoming Extension Office will share her extensive knowledge and answer your questions starting at 6:30 p.m.
