Slash performed a show in Japan just days after a devastating earthquake and a tsunami left thousands dead and missing.

The former Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver guitarist refused to cancel his Japan trip despite the tragedy and possible radiation leaks from nuclear plants.

He did scrap three shows in Tokyo and Yokohama, but decided to fly in Sunday and go ahead with his gig in Osaka on Monday night.

Slash praised his Japanese fans for turning out to see him play.

On his Twitter account Slash writes, "Great gig in Osaka tonight. Great spirits, despite all that has happened...We're positively coming back soon to play Tokyo & Yokohama. In the meantime, lots of love to the Japanese fans. U will make it thru these difficult times."
