Have You Been Following PlanCheyenne?

PlanCheyenne has been a real hot local issue with both sides fighting to get their views and concerns aired.  The city council on Monday approved an update to the plan. 

PlanCheyenne is considered the master plan and future for our town. It's used by the local governments to guide growth and promote sustainability in the city and parts of the county. The amendments added on Monday are to add to the language of it; To make it less binding and more open to discussion. T

he plan is designed and updated by the Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Organization.

I work with our sister station KGAB and most of the listeners believe that the plan, which will be funded by federal funds, will wreck the western heritage and culture of our town and make it more like Fort Collins.

Is that really such a bad thing? Bike friendly? Greener? Eco-Friendly? Sustainable? Thriving?
