In the wake of a reported early-season flu outbreak in the northern part of the state, Wyoming Department of Health spokeswoman Kim Deti is urging state residents to get immunized against the disease now. Deti says  flu cases in Wyoming normally peak in February and March, but with several cases already reported in Sheridan County this year it looks like  an early flu season in Wyoming. Deti says almost everyone over the age of 6 months should get the shot, with only a few exceptions for people with special health conditions such as various allergies. She says pregnant women, senior citizens and others who may be especially vulnerable to flu infections should definitely be immunized.
