The former Mr. Katy Perry was booted from the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London last week after he made some jokes about sponsor Hugo Boss’ ties to the Nazi Party. Memo to Russell: Nazi humor usually doesn’t fly at awards shows.
Brand, who was being honored at the shindig, took the event’s sponsor, Hugo Boss, to task for dressing the Nazi party during the party’s reign in the 1930s and ’40s.
In true Brand fashion, he managed to turn the incident into a humorous anecdote, taking the experience to Twitter:
