Here’s Footage of the Snapped Camera Cable at the Coca-Cola 600 Shot by a Fan Who Was Directly Underneath It

Ten fans were injured . . . but none seriously . . . when a camera cable fell during the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday.  And apparently it was a bit more harrowing than you might expect for the fans sitting directly under the cable.

If you haven’t seen any footage of it, one of the nylon cables connected to Fox’s “skycam” snapped, fell on the track, and damaged a couple of cars as they sped by.

Meanwhile, the cable was still spanning a section of the crowd, at just about head level.  One of the people who was directly under it posted a video on YouTube, and it sounds like he was seriously worried about being decapitated.
