‘Holidays With Heros’ Going For Final Christmas Push [UPDATE]

Christmas is going to be extra bright for some children and their families, and it's all thanks to our local law enforcement and firefighters...and YOU!!

Tuesday Dec. 18th at 3pm we will be sorting gifts for the families

Wednesday Dec. 19th at noon we will be finishing the sorting and then shopping for items that are still needed.

Thursday Dec 20th at 3pm will be the wrapping party for the event. Please bring a food dish or drinks if you can or wrapping supplies! This event is open to the public, so feel free to bring the kids and their friends!

SATURDAY DEC 22 AT 9AM I NEED AS MANY UNIFORMED OFFICERS AS POSSIBLE. THIS WILL BE THE DELIVERY DATE FOR THE PROGRAM. EACH UNIFORMED OFFICER WILL TAKE A BAG OF GIFTS TO A FAMILY THAT HAD REGISTERED FOR THE PROGRAM. THE MORE OFFICERS THAT WE GET TO HELP OUT THE FASTER THE DELIVERY PROCESS WILL BE!

All of the events listed above will take place at the old town and country liquors on south greeley highway.

Holidays With Heroes is a nonprofit organization sponsored through the Cheyenne Police Department and other emergency response agencies such as; Laramie County Sheriff’s Office, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Cheyenne Fire/Rescue, and American Medical Response (AMR). The goals of the organization are to provide local families in need this holiday season with gifts for the entire family. As other organizations provide toys for the smaller children, Holidays With Heroes looks to provide gifts for not only the little kids, but also the teenagers and parents as well.

Since many parents and older kids put the little children first, most years they just do without gifts for themselves. So we are asking for donations such as:

Toiletries
Kitchen Acc.
Gift Cards
Pet Supplies
New un-wrapped toys for children of all ages
New or used video game systems/games
New or used DVD and/or Blue-Ray Disc players/movies
Tool Kits
Winter Coats (all sizes)
Monetary Donations

Any donations that could be provided for these families would greatly appreciated . With your help, we look forward to providing a Merry Christmas to those in need.
