Laramie County Commissioner Keith "Buck'' Holmes says the location of the Magpul Industries manufacturing and distribution center to Cheyenne could eventually create up to 250 jobs in Laramie County.

The company, which makes a variety of firearms accessories, recently announced it was moving it's manufacturing and distribution operations to the Cheyenne area from Erie, Colorado. Holmes says he believes the company will create about 50 to 80 jobs at first, while the company is operating out of a leased 58, 000 square foot facility. Magpul plans to eventually build a 100, 000 square foot build-to-suit facility.

Holmes says he believes Magpul will eventually create between 200 and 250 jobs locally once it is fully operating  in Cheyenne. He says the overall economic benefit could end up being even larger than that, because of the possibility that businesses which make products used by Magpul, such as plastic companies, could eventually increase their local presence as well.
