My husband, John, has served his country in the regular Army and National Guard for a total of 25 years. I am nominating him for not his military service, for which I am proud of, but for his love and support for 5 adopted children.

In his 60s, he agreed to love and support my two great-grandchildren. This means he will have to continue working until.....?

He has done this with the understanding that children are our future, and these two little ones had no future without us.

They had been in 9 different placements when we learned about them, and we were asked if we could be their forever home. He always says, "You have to do the right thing."
