After being shut down for nearly all of Tuesday, the Wyoming Department of Transportation is advising that I-80 between Cheyenne and Rawlins will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

WYDOT does not currently have a timetable they would like to reopen the highway.

Heavy snow accumulations Tuesday and strong wind conditions in the forecast are both contributing factors in keeping the road closed.

Other closures as of Wednesday morning include:

  • Highway 287 between the Colorado State Line and Laramie.
  • Wyoming 210 between I-80 and Curt Gowdy State Park.
  • I-25 Southbound between Glenrock and Casper
  • I-80 both directions between Rawlins and Rock Springs.
  • I-80 Eastbound between Rock Springs and the Utah State Line.
