I'm a huge fan of turkey, no matter what time of year it is. I'm also a huge fan of buffalo wings. This is something I've wanted to make for a while now.

As much as I love food, I love novel food that much more. When food is too big or too small, it's amusing to me. I thought the idea of making buffalo wings out of turkey wings would be fun and tasty. Fortunately, I was right! Here's all I did. Very easy to make.

Recipe

  • Two turkey wings
  • Hot sauce of choice

And that was really about it. Like chicken wings I separated the wing into two sections so I cooked a total of 4 segments. I didn't season the turkey at all. I just popped it in the oven for 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, then pulled it out and added my hot sauce (for this I used a combination of Frank's Red Hot Sauce and Famous Dave's barbecue sauce). Cooked it for another 10 minutes. Pulled it out again to flip them over, add more sauce and popped it back in for another 10 minutes. Then, to give it that crispy skin, I cranked up the heat and broiled it for about 5 minutes on each side.

Ovens vary in temperature so make sure the turkey is cooked properly and all the way through.

I guarantee you that if you make these for a party or if you're the 'snack coordinator' for the Sunday football games at your place, these will be a huge hit.

What other 'larger than average' things can we make? Leave it in the comments and maybe I'll try it out!
