Unfortunately, it looks like we will be seeing another empty building here in Cheyenne.

Since 2005, Cheyenne's IBMC has been educating students on various careers. According to the IBMC website, IBMC "has served a vital role in the community as an employer, employing hundreds of staff members throughout the years and standing as a major supplier of more than 500 trained medical assistants, medical billers and coders, cosmetologists, hairstylists, nail technicians, estheticians, IT workers, massage therapists, business professionals and paralegal graduates."

I will be sad to see them close here in Cheyenne, as I get my haircut from their cosmetology students in their student salon. They are all really nice and really get to know you and how you like your haircut. Plus, they're really economical!

A statement from Angela Massengill, Campus President of IBMC College Cheyenne Campus says, "It has been a joy to serve our students and invest in the Cheyenne community over the past 12 years.  Our students have always been our focus and as the Cheyenne branch is being phased out, we will continue to give our full attention to our students during this process.  IBMC College will remain focused on our efforts to deliver education for in-demand careers at our Colorado campuses. While this change only effects the Cheyenne campus directly, IBMC College will continue to have a lasting impact on our community.”

If you are alumni or past student of IBMC and you need a copy of your transcript or diploma, you can visit the Cheyenne campus until Oct. 13. After that date, you will need to reach out to IBMC College in Fort Collins at info@ibmc.edu.
