There are times when something may happen to a spouse, friend or loved one and you instantly earn the title of caregiver. Just know that you are not alone in this.

Maybe you're like me, where your spouse suffers from some kind of a chronic disease. The experience and life can all of a sudden become frustrating and you may ask yourself, "Why me?"

Just know that there are many of us who, like you, have experienced these same questions. Cheyenne is a great place to find both support for you and help for that friend or loved one.

I recently spoke with Michele Herrera, director of the Cheyenne Community Caregiver Program, located at the Senior Activity Center. Whether you need some education, training, counseling, support or just to take a break, the services they offer are more than helpful.

If you're like many of us, call and find the support you need at 307-635-2435.
