We'll be seeing orange barrels and traffic cones on Interstate 80 east of Cheyenne tonight.

I-80 westbound near the Archer Interchange will close to traffic beginning at 11 p.m. on September 20th to install a new message sign.

Crews will be erecting the structure for an overhead dynamic message sign at milepost 373.

The closure is expected to last about 45 minutes. If the work takes longer than projected, a Wyoming Department of Transportation spokesman says the interstate will be opened after one hour to allow traffic to clear and then the westbound lane would be closed again for up to an hour.

Interstate 80 eastbound will remain open. WYDOT thanks travelers for their patience while this important safety equipment is installed.
