After being back in Wyoming (Casper to be exact) for the better part of 10 years, I have noticed a few things:

  1. If you don't like the weather, give it a minute... it can change through multiple seasons in a single day.
  2. 4-wheel drive is damn near a necessity in the winter here.

Having gone through roughly about 4 different vehicles in my decade tenure back in the state of my birth, 2 of which were small cars, the other 2 being SUVs, I cannot EVER see myself in a vehicle that does not have 4-wheel drive capabilities. I have been stuck in the mud and snow on Casper Mountain, hit the switch and easily made my way out and have pushed or pulled smaller vehicles out of snow drifts.

I can honestly say it semi-bothers me to see sports and luxury model cars going 10 miles (or more) under the speed limit on the roads in the winter months. Either put that toy away until fall or have the common sense not to attempt to drive it up a steep hill covered in snow and ice. Rant over... have a nice day.
