A clause prohibits people from appearing in Cheyenne “indecently dressed.” It may be decades since it was last enforced, so it seems there is a new review.

Councilman Richard Johnson is at it again, about out-of-date city codes. You may remember one was about spitting on public sidewalks. Surely we're all still grateful for the clarity there.

Now according to Wyomingnews.com, Johnson says, “Standards of decency have changed through the years and what might have been considered indecent fifty years ago is perfectly acceptable, or at least widely tolerated, today.” I'll say if pants can be worn so low, maybe we'd prefer to add that to what is indecent, but I digress.

Johnson also pointed out that if his ordinance passes the full City Council at Monday's meeting, nakedness would still be covered. Oh good, you know, because we want to keep nakedness covered (grin).
