December is National Identity Theft Prevention and Awareness Month. Our friends at WalletHub.com have found that 901 data breaches have been reported for 2016.

Of the 901 data breaches, the report found that they accessed more than 34 million records in 2016.

They measured states on average loss amount due to fraud, and identity-theft complaints per capita. Wyoming ranked as the 13th most vulnerable state for fraud in the U.S.

Believe it or not, Hawaii had the least amount of theft complaints in the U.S. and the state of Connecticut had the most complaints, just ahead of Washington D.C.
