This week, Joe Walsh turned 68. He’s the COOL Eagle, leader of Barnstorm and The James Gang and has a very successful solo career. He also has a family and he now has fun, that he can remember. He survived the excess of success, but just barely. He found he needed to ask for help. After 34 years drunk, he's now 19 years sober.

Joe Walsh is my favorite guitar player. Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page have said the same, so I guess I’m in good company. Here are a couple of reasons why. Meadows. County Fair, The Bomber (with Bolero and Cast Your Fate To The Wind) (removed in later versions), Welcome To The Club, Here We Go (From Barnstorm, Recoded Just up the canyon from Boulder, Colorado. Cover shot is an old cabin between Boulder and Estes Park). There are so many more great songs…

Happy birthday Joe.
