John Mellencamp will perform at the Temple Buell Theatre in Denver April 6th but don't expect him to play all his greatest hits. The biggest hits on his set list have been reworked; Authority Song has a rockabilly sound and Jack and Diane is now country-swing.

Mellencamp's shows have been more than two hours, including a solo acoustic mini set and a country-blues combo before finishing with a full band.

Instead of an opening band Mellencamp is screening a documentary, It's About You, shot during his tour with Bob Dylan.

Last year he released his 25th album, No Better Than This, and it's receiving some of the best reviews of his career.

When I saw him open for George Thorogood and The Who at Folsom Field he was boo'd off the stage, or maybe the crowd was just yelling "Who, Who."
