Join the 19th Annual Dog Jog Saturday at Lions Park

Will you be walking your dog on Saturday?

Participate in the 19th annual Dog Jog at Lions Park and help raise money for the Cheyenne Animal Shelter.

The 3-mile run begins at 9 on Saturday morning and the 1-mile walk starts at 9:30. The winners of the run and the top fundraisers will be announced and recognized around 10 a.m.

Registration takes place at the Lions Park Amphitheater from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. There's no registration fee, participants are just asked to bring any money raised to donate to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter. Anyone donating at least $30 will receive a prize.

Last year, about 250 "Dog Joggers" raised nearly $40,000. The money is used to provide clean, safe, warm beds and food and water to the more than 6,000 animals that come through the Cheyenne Animal Shelter's doors each year.
