Will you be part of the crowd tonight at Frontier Park?

It is the rock night at Cheyenne Frontier Days, featuring Loverboy, Pat Benatar with her husband and guitarist Neil Giraldo and Journey with new lead singer Arnel Pineda.

Loverboy came together in 1979 in Calgary, Canada when Paul Dean and Mike Reno got together. They were almost called Coverboy before they decided on Loverboy.

The current lineup includes Reno on lead vocals, Dean on lead guitar, Doug Johnson on keyboards, Scott Smith playing bass and Matt Frenette on drums.

Pat Benatar was born in New York, she grew up on Long Island as Patricia Andrzejewski and took vocal training in preparation for study at the Julliard School of Music. Always the rebel, she left their rigorous training and married a GI named Dennis Benatar at 18.

In 1982, Benatar married her guitarist and musical director, Neil Giraldo, with who she wrote most of her songs.

Journey rose out of the San Francisco bay area music scene in 1973. Their debut album was predominantly instrumental with former Santana band members Gregg Rolie and Neal Schon. Ross Valory, former Steve Miller Band bassist was recruited along with George Tickner who had played with Frumious Bandersnatch.

The band's name came from a San Francisco radio station, KSAN-FM, contest. Their current lineup consists of Arnel Pineda on lead vocals (replacing Steve Perry in 2007), Schon on guitar, Valory playing bass, Jonathan Cain on keyboards and Deen Castronovo on drums.

Congratulations to all the winners of Journey concert tickets on KING FM!
