Judge Orders Casey Kasem To Be Taken Off Of Life Support

It’s almost over for Casey Kasem.  A story that was bleak from the start, with families feuding over his welfare, sound like it might be coming to an end, for Casey that is.

A judge has now granted Kerri Kasem, the daughter of Casey, the authority to withhold medication, food and fluids from her ailing father.  Casey has been in a Washington hospital since Monday, and he’s now on life support.

His hospital stay was shortly after the dramatic intervention that his daughter had with her step mother and Casey’s wife Jean, who had Casey hidden in a home in Washington State.  Kerri showed up at the home with an ambulance to take her father to the hospital to be checked over, and that’s when the craziness ensued, with Kerri whisking her father away in an ambulance while Jean hurled frozen hamburger meat at her.

The judge overturned a recent decision to keep Casey on food and fluids because he felt that this would be even more harmful and cause more pain for Casey, who’s 82 years old.  Casey had signed a right-to-die legal document.  Jean Kasem, who’s been Casey’s wife for 34 years, stormed out of the courtroom after the judges decision, and later told the media that “Casey’s blood is on his children’s hands.”

Doctors are saying that Casey’s not expected to live much longer, in fact, it could be any day now that we lose our “friend of the airwaves,” but the feuding between Jean, and Casey’s children from another marriage I fear, is far from over.
