The mission at the non-profit K9s 4 Mobility is straight forward.

“We select, train and place Assistance Dogs with people with disabilities. We enable people with disabilities to become more mobile and independent.”

The work is hard, but rewarding. Most people don’t give a thought to the simple tasks we take for granted, being huge obstacles to people with disabilities.

K9s 4 Mobility says “Every day, individuals with disabilities wake up to a world full of challenges. Even simple tasks, such as getting out of bed or opening a door can be difficult. With the services of in-home caregivers prohibitively expensive for many individuals with disabilities, getting the assistance needed to navigate daily challenges can seem like an impossible dream.”

Trainer and CEO Michelle Woerner would like to invite you out today (Thursday, March 26, 2015) to see the improvements and catch Wyoming Governor Matt Meade speaking at 1 p.m.

The training areas now feature more life-like training areas and more room to work so they can provide assistance dogs for those with special needs.

They do good works and now you can see for yourself today with their grand opening at 11805 Campstool Road. Find out more at 307-222-9597.
