Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says the city was able to add $1.7 Million to it’s cash reserves at the end of fiscal year 2012, which ended on June 30th. The mayor says that brings total city reserves to $8.3 Million, or about enough to keep the city operating for roughly 2 months without any new revenues. Kaysen says that while he can’t foresee a situation where no new revenues would be collected by the city for 120 days, it’s good to know the city’s reserve account is in good shape to deal with any unexpected crisis situations.
