Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says potholes are already beginning to appear on city streets.

The mayor says the relatively wet winter the area has experienced this year is likely to cause an increase in the holes compared to drier years. City crews are already working to get ahead of the problem by applying a product known as "cold mix" to potholes as they appear.

While the cold mix is a temporary solution, it will only reduce the problem until a permanent patch known as ''hot mix" can be applied in April. He is asking people to report potholes at the city website.
