There's a lot of live musical acts performing around our area this week including Collective Soul at the Boulder Theater on Thursday, January 16, at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $30 in advance, $32.50 at the door.In downtown Cheyenne on Friday, January 17, enjoy two Fort Collins punk bands at Ernie November's, 217 West Lincolnway, from 7 to 9 p.m. This free all ages show features Drunk Diggery and Poor Me.

Moe Diggin' play The Drunken Skunk, 1617 Capitol Avenue, on Friday, January 17, beginning at 9 p.m. and there's no cover charge to see this local band.

Howard Skaggs entertains from 7 to 10 p.m. at Sanford's Grub and Pub, 115 East 17th Street, on Friday, January 17, for free.

The Midtown Tavern, also known as Anderson's Other Corner at 1303 East Pershing Boulevard, welcomes Avenue back at 8 p.m. on Friday, January 17, and there's no cover charge.

In Denver on Friday, January 17, Reel Big Fish play the Gothic Theatre starting at 7:30 p.m., doors open at 6:30. The cost for this all ages show is $23.50.

In Laramie on Saturday, January 18, It's Another Art & Music Thing at The Gryphon Theatre, 710 East Garfield, starting at noon, doors open at 11 a.m. The event features music from Whisky Slaps, Harpoon the Whale, Shotgun Shogun, The Libby Creek Original, Mumbletypeg, Harriman Exit, DJ Ozzy Dubs, The Ninjahs, One Drop Evolution and more. Ticket prices range from $5 to $8.
