What shows will kick off your 2014 concerts?

There's lots of live music choices during this first full week of January including the winner of season 7 of American Idol in the Mile High City.David Cook performs at the Bluebird Theater in Denver at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7. Tickets for the 16 and over show are $30 on the day of the show and doors open at 7 p.m.

The Midtown Tavern, also known as Anderson's Other Corner at 1303 East Pershing Boulevard, has their monthly Open Mic Night with Jimmy McGuire of Second Opinion beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7. Jimmy brings some instruments and musicians are welcome to bring their own, all those who jam receive $1 beers.

Avogadro's Number, 605 South Mason Street, in Fort Collins hosts their weekly Bluegrass Jam on Wednesday, January 8, from 7 to 11 p.m.

The Drunken Skunk, 1617 Capitol Avenue, presents a Jam Night on Thursday, January 9, starting at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, January 10, in downtown Cheyenne, Bobby Phillips plays for free at The Crown Bar, on the corner of Carey Avenue and West Lincolnway, beginning at 6 p.m.

The local band Stormbringer return to the American Legion Post 6, 2001 East Lincolnway, on Friday, January 10, from 7 to 11 p.m. There's no cover charge.

Moe Diggin' perform at The Midtown Tavern, 1303 East Pershing Boulevard, on Friday, January 10, beginning at 8 p.m. This is a free show.

Another Perfect Circus is at the Island Grill on East 29th in Loveland on Friday, January 10, from 8 to midnight.

The Deceived are at the Gothic Theatre in Denver on Friday, January 10. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Adventure Club play the Ogden Theatre in Denver on Friday and Saturday, January 10 and 11, beginning at 9 p.m. Doors open at 8 p.m.

The Casey Donahew Band will be at the Atlas Theatre, 211 West Lincolnway in downtown Cheyenne, in an all ages show beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, January 11. Tickets are $18 in advance at Ernie November and $20 at the door.
