A good sign that Summer is on the way, the KING Concert Calendar is heating up. On Thursday, May 9, Jim James from My Morning Jacket and Monsters of Folk plays at the Ogden Theatre in Denver beginning at 9 p.m.

Also on Thursday in downtown Cheyenne, The Drunken Skunk, 1617 Capitol Avenue, is hosting a Jam Session beginning at 8 p.m.

Friday night, May 10, Another Perfect Circus performs at The Midtown Tavern, also known as Anderson's Other Corner at 1303 East Pershing Boulevard, starting at 8. The local band is made up of Chris Chimick on drums, Mark Jones on keyboards, Bob Pollock on guitar, Gary Hoem on bass and Nicole Hoem on lead vocals. They'll be stopping by the KING studios to help get you ready for the show on Friday evening.

Bobby Phillips from the band Steel March will be at the Crown Bar on the corner of Carey Avenue and West Lincolnway on Friday, May 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, May 11, it's Chasing Flames at The Crown at 9:30 p.m.

If you're in the mood for a road trip, Poco will be in Sheridan on Saturday, May 11, at the Wyo Theater. The current line up includes original member Rusty Young on pedal steel, Michael Webb on keyboards, Jack Sundrud on bass and George Lawrence on drums.
