Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak says that Cheyenne has never had a recorded case of a child abduction and currently has no open missing children cases. While the chief says that parents everywhere need to be vigilant about the safety of their children, he adds there aren't a lot of communities with Cheyenne's record in those categories. But Kozak also says that people in Cheyenne, like anywhere else, need to report anything involving children that appears possibly suspicious, just to be safe. He also says it's important for parents to speak to their kids about good safety procedures and what to do if they are approached by strangers.
