Laramie County Drug Take Back Day Saturday

The Laramie County Sheriff's Department is taking part in the Drug Enforcement Administration's Prescription Drug Take Back Day Saturday, according to spokesman Gerry Luce.

He says the department will have people stationed at Town and Country Pharmacy at 514 South Greeley Highway. Laramie County Fire District #2 at 5800 North College, and at the Pine Bluffs Town Hall at 200 Main Street in Pine Bluffs.

Luce says all donations of prescription and over the counter drugs will be anonymous. He says the take back is an effort to allow people to dispose of the drugs in an environmentally safe manner and to keep the drugs out of the hands of people who may abuse them. The drop off does not accept needles, pressurized canisters,  street drugs or radioactive substances.
