Thanks to the recent snow storm and more predicted in the weather forecasts, the schedules for the Laramie Plainsmen and Lady Plainsmen soccer teams have been adjusted. The changes affect the matches against Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East this weekend. We’ve also received word from LHS Track and Field on cancellations.

Thursday’s match between the 2nd-ranked Laramie Plainsmen and the 3rd-ranked Central Indians in Cheyenne has been postponed until Monday, April 22nd. The varsity game time will be 5 p.m.

Friday’s game in Laramie between the top-ranked Lady Plainsmen and the 4th-ranked Central Lady Indians is being moved, weather permitting, to next Tuesday, April 16th. The varsity game time is set for 5 p.m.

Both of Saturday’s matches against Cheyenne East will be played in Laramie. The games will be indoors at the University of Wyoming’s Indoor Practice Facility (IPF). The first match has the #1 Laramie Lady Plainsmen facing the #3 East Lady Thunderbirds at 9 a.m. This is a venue change, as it was originally scheduled to be in Cheyenne. The girls match is followed by the boys, as #2 Laramie will face the #5 East Thunderbirds. The start time is set for Noon.

The weather has also affected the Laramie High School Track and Field teams. They were scheduled to attend two meets this weekend, Friday in Glenrock and Saturday in Rapid City, South Dakota. Both have been cancelled. They will resume action next week in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Pine Bluffs.
