Laramie TV Show Was The Real Deal

It's 1870 in The Wyoming Territory and LARAMIE ruled the NBC Network from 1959-1963.

Slim Sherman and his 14-year-old brother Andy try to hang onto their ranch after their father is shot by a land grabber. They augment their slight cattle ranch income by serving as a stagecoach station near Laramie.

The show had a respectful run in the ratings but was killed in 1963 by NBC. One of the true theme set TV westerns, it actually portrayed the vastness of the old West. Laramie was a town settled on the Union Pacific Railroad and still is.
