Want to see some original live music in downtown Cheyenne?

Las Vegas musician Shayna Rain will perform at the Paramount Cafe on Saturday, March 19, along with local musician Mike Morris opening.

Shayna Rain and her band were between tour dates and found themselves in the Cheyenne area, so they set up a performance at the Paramount Cafe, 1607 Capitol Avenue, on Saturday, March 19, starting at 6:30 p.m. There is no cover charge.

Local musician Mike Morris will open the show. You might have seen or heard him playing and helping out at Fridays in the Hynds. Link here to watch a short video shot at the Hynds Building by Kelly Rose Buckhammer of one of his performances.

Shayna Rain & the Part Time Models just released an album titled 'Aiming for the Sun' last June. Her sultry, smokey vocals kind of remind me of Astrud Gilberto with Stan Getz on 'The Girl from Ipanema.'

If you'd like a preview of what Shayna Rain sounds like, here's a video of her song 'How Autumn Goes' off of the new album. The band has plenty of merchandise available at their website including CDs and T-shirts. If you get a chance, see her in person in downtown Cheyenne on Saturday night.
