Laramie County legislators were on hand Wednesday for the annual "Eggs and Issues" Legislative Wrap-Up at the Cheyenne Depot. The event was co-sponsored by the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and Townsquare Media. Lawmakers gave their overall impressions of what they did and did not accomplish during the recently concluded Budget Session. Legislators then took questions from the audience.

In answer to a question on how much money the state should put aside in its rainy day savings account, House Minority Floor Leader, Representative Mary Throne (HD-11), said she didn't know the answer to that question, because the full Legislature never really had a full-blown discussion on the matter.

Represenative Bob Nicholas (HD-8), a member of the Joint Appropriations Committee, said the budget has continued to grow over the past several years. He added that even if there wasn't an expected downturn in mineral revenues in the near future, it is unlikely the state could continue to sustain the current level of spending.

Lawmakers also talked about the Medicaid Expansion issue, Education issues, including what to do about the Wyoming Supreme Court decision on Senate File 104, the Capitol Square Renovation Project and funding for construction projects throughout the state.
