Laramie County voters will decide the fate of a proposed bond issue to raise $25 million for new buildings at LCCC Tuesday.

The college wants to put the money towards construction of a new Student Center as well as a Flexible Technology building. If the bond issue is approved in Tuesday’s special election, college officials hope to rise the additional $22 million needed for the project through state funding. LCCC spokeswoman Lisa Murphy says if approved the bond issue would cost the owner of a $200,000 home about $3 per month.

Laramie County Clerk Debbye Lathrop says polls will be open from 7am until 7pm. Voting will take place in all the usual polling places, with one change. The Meriden polling location has been moved to the Albin Community Center. Lathrop also says that people can register to vote at the polls on Tuesday.
