Laramie County Public Schools, Parks and Recreation Classes Closed Today

UPDATE as of 11:45 a.m.: The City of Cheyenne Parks and Recreation Department has announced that all classroom and group activities scheduled for May 12 have been cancelled, due to weather and road conditions. Facilities affected by the closure include the neighborhood facility, Youth Activity and Community Center, Pioneer Park and all other park and recreation facilities. The Laramie County School District #2 Board of Trustees meeting scheduled for tonight has also been postponed until Tuesday, May 13.

 As of 8:00 a.m.: All Laramie County School District #1 and District #2 schools are closed today due to a severe spring storm which has dumped several inches of snow on southeast Wyoming.

That also means no district buses are running, and no school activities will be held today (May 12). St. Mary's Catholic School and Laramie County Community College have also announced they will be closed today.
