I have a nephew with autism who worked for a short sighted and ignorant manager at a grocery store in Arizona. She was not only rude, but kept him under him thumb and would not let him rise in position. She kept him collecting carts and bagging as if that were all he was good for. He loved the bakery, but she would not let him do anything other than the most menial tasks. Long story short, he now has his own bakery business in Phoenix, consults with the legislature and works to advance the cause of working with the handicapped.
