One of our favorite ice creams, especially when it goes on sale, may have been contaminated with listeria for the past 5 years, according to the CDC.  Genetic tests have linked the Listeria bacteria outbreak to one of America's favorite ice creams, Blue Bell, to two different factories where the ice cream is manufactured.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated that at least six cases of Listeria bacteria in Blue Bell Ice Cream date all the way back to the year 2010.

The company is advising consumers and stores to throw out the ice cream until further notice. The outbreak has killed 3 people to date and has put 7 others in the hospital.
