Local Band Wheelchair Getaway Drivers to Rock New Year’s Eve Show at the Drunken Skunk

One of the cool things about working at a radio station is the interesting people you get to meet.  This morning, a local band named the Wheelchair Getaway Drivers stopped by to plug their upcoming New Year's Eve concert at the Drunken Skunk.

They met in the East High Jazz band back in 2006 and they've been playing together ever since.  The five piece outfit, lead by lead singer Weasel, guitarist Nate, bassist Chris, drummer Thad and backup vocalist Coda, describe their sound as "ska and punk meet rasta funk".

They'll be funking it up the Skunk on New Year's Eve from 9 pm to 1 am.  You can also check them out on Facebook.
