A city with the word "love" in it is not one of the best places to celebrate the day of love?

Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching and it's a day that is celebrated across the nation. Some of us like to put our love on display for all to see, while others will celebrate in a low-key way that is meant to be treasured between the two parties involved. I enjoy this holiday, although I don't go over-the-top with it. It does bring up some great memories of being in elementary school and wanting to receive a paper Valentine from that one special boy in the classroom who caught your eye.

Confession: I spent way too much time reading into the words "You're rad!"

That being said, it looks like Loveland, Colorado failed to make the list of the Best Places for Valentine's Day that WalletHub put out. It find it odd that a city with the word "love" in its name is not at the top of the list. Wouldn't you want to be in the land of love on Valentine's Day?

Heck, we even send out Valentine's through Loveland to get a special postmark.

Wallethub looked specifically at florists per capita, the chances of rain in the forecast for February 14, and the price of a three-course meal for two, among other factors. Although Loveland missed the mark, so did plenty of other cities in our region. The only ones to make the cut on this list of 100 cities were in Colordao; Denver (12), Colorado Springs (30), and Aurora (74).
